About Venue
Welcome to the Alley Arts and Conference Centre. The Alley Arts and Conference Centre is a state of the art theatre complex, art gallery and conference centre based in the heart of Strabane, County Tyrone.
Offering top class entertainment, arts development and conference facilities, the Alley Arts and Conference Centre is now recognised as one of the leading arts and conference venues within the North West of Ireland.
Venue Features
- A fully equipped auditorium with Alley Theatre seating for up to 270 people.
- The auditorium has retractable seating, allowing for customisation of seating numbers in the main auditorium.
- We can convert the main auditorium to a flat floored cabaret style seating auditorium, round table conference area or even a magnificent banquet hall.
- We have a dedicated art gallery, exhibiting some of the best exhibitions from across the UK and Ireland.
- 6 training and break out rooms
Getting Here
Getting to the Alley Theatre is easy, supported by a variety of transport routes, with the venue only 25 minutes from L’Derry and Omagh and has excellent road links to Letterkenny, Dublin and Belfast.

From Derry/Londonderry
- Take the A5 to Strabane.
- At the Lifford roundabout (Next to ASDA) take the first exit into Railway Street.
- The Alley is on the left at the top of the street before entering Abercorn Square, next door to Strabane Community Library.
- Entrance to car parks are on the left and on the right as you approach the theatre.
From Omagh
- Take the A5, bypass Newtonstewart, through the village of Sion Mills.
- At the 1st Roundabout take the first left exit onto the Strabane Bypass.
- Straight through to the next roundabout and at the Lifford roundabout take the last exit for Railway Street (heading towards ASDA and Pat Kirk Motors).
- The Alley Theatre is on the left, next door to Strabane Community Library.
- Entrances to car parks are on the left and the right as you approach the theatre.
From Donegal
- Head east on Main St/R267 towards Water St
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto N15
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on N15
- Continue onto Lifford Rd/A38
- At the roundabout, continue straight onto Railway StThe Alley Theatre is on the left, next door to Strabane Community Library
